Earth Hour

Earth Hour 

Earth Hour is officially this Saturday, March 24th between 8:30 – 9:30 pm. 

UMPS will be participating in our own Earth Hour between 2-3 pm on Friday, March 23rd. We will be turning off lights and unplugging any electronics to help do our part to save energy.

The City of Markham will be implementing Centreline Flexible Sign this Spring to slow down traffic in School Zones.

Healthy Schools Assembly

 

A wonderful assembly started off with Land Acknowledgement and Mindful Moment led by Mr. Wallace and Ms. Hall.  The rest of the assembly includes: String Ensemble, "I'm The Greatest" by Gr.1, Internet Safety, Green Team Presentation, Dance Fit Group, Kindness Team, "Talk Poetry" from Mr. McDonnell's class and Healthy Schools Presentation. 

Gr. 6s' Art work was also presented around the gym.

$1400.00 raised for our Healthy Snacks Program

THANK YOU to our parent community as we raised $1400.00 to support our Healthy Snacks program. Our students greatly appreciate this support.

Donation to Provincial Education & Animal Centre

UMPS raised $800.25 from our Cupcake Decorating Family Fun Night last Thursday for PEAC (Provincial Education & Animal Centre). Donation was sent today, thank you to School Council for running this event . 

Community Chess Club

Students are working with parents and grandparents from the community and teaching them about Chinese Chess. Join us on Monday, March 19th and 26th from 1:20 - 2:20 pm in the Learning Commons.
