Good evening Everyone! Cupcake Decorating Night has been such a success! We wanted to let all parents and students know that we will be extending the cupcake sales to tomorrow!!! YAYYYYY!!
Cupcakes will be sold at lunch recess on Friday, March 1/19 in the gym. $1 will get you 2 cupcakes! There is a limit of 2 cupcakes per student...get them fast tomorrow!

Celebrating Lunar New Year at Unionville Meadows PS

Join us for our re-scheduled Lunar New
Year Celebration at Unionville Meadows Public School. If you would like to
attend, we ask that you attend during the assembly that your child(ren) will
observe.
New date: Monday, February 11, 2019
K - Grade 3/4 Assembly (11:00-12:00 PM)
Grade 4 - 8 Assembly (2:00-3:00 PM)
If you have more than one child who attends the school, please join the older child's assembly. This will help with regards to gym capacity.

February's Monthly Math Message
Games
Using games to support your child at home to reinforce math
concepts they are learning in class can be fun for the whole family! Games
provide children with opportunities to explore mathematical concepts such as
number concepts, patterns and relationships. It also allows them to use models
and strategies they are familiar with (e.g., arrays, ten frames, skip
counting). Some math games are commercially available, but most can be played
with common household objects. In fact, most games that are not considered
“math” games have many math concepts already in them. Try highlighting some of
those concepts as you are playing.
